DETECTIVE DIVISION ~

The Merriam Police Department's Investigations Unit is comprised of three full-time detectives. In 2007, the Investigations Unit was assigned 511 cases to investigate. This is a 63% increase from 2006. The detectives solved 113 of those cases, which is a clearance rate of 22%. The national average is a 20% clearance rate.
