Department Description:
The Community Development Department works to ensure orderly progress through administration of Comprehensive Planning, Zoning, and Subdivision review processes. This department enforces the City's construction codes through a systematic plan review and inspection program. The department is also responsible for the City's codes compliance through a program of systematic and by-complaint inspections of properties in the city. The department also administers the Rental Housing Inspection and Licensing Program. Department staff provides support and assistance to the Planning Commission , Board of Zoning Appeals, Board of Structural Appeals and Tree Board.
Zoning Maps:
Zoning maps are available for purchase at the Administration offices at City Hall (9000 W. 62nd Terrace). There are three sizes available, small (11"x17" - $5), medium (36"x18" - $10) and large zoning maps (36"x72" - $30).
