We’re planning a party in YOUR park tonight with FREE ice cream, cookies, lemonade, inflatable games, and a special summer concert featuring, “Miss Major and Her Minor Mood Swings” (a special blend of Rock-a-bluesy beat).

Also check out Merriam’s Take Charge Challenge, a friendly competition between six Kansas towns to reduce their energy use, save money, and take charge of their energy future!

Taste of the Market - Cooking Demonstrations

Join us at the Merriam Farmers' Market THIS SATURDAY (9:00 to 10:00 AM) and learn how to make delicious dishes using what's fresh at the market.

Chef Paul Santaularia will be at the Merriam Farmers’ Market on June 13th, July 18th and August 1st, demonstrating delectable and simple dishes that you can prepare at home with fresh ingredients found at the Merriam Farmers' Market.

The Farmers' Market is located at the Merriam Marketplace (5740 Merriam Drive) and is open Saturdays through October 10th from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Enjoy fresh produces, a variety of baked goods, honey, emu meat, pasta, nuts and candy, handmade arts and crafts and more!  All 36 stalls have been sold for the season, and we've scheduled FREE entertainment each week as you shop.
