SAVE THE DATE: City of Merriam to Conduct Fall Clean-up Campaign October 13th-17th

City of Merriam's 2008 "Feed the Need" Food Drive

The City of Merriam is teaming up with the Johnson County North Central Multi-Service Center, and sponsoring a "Feed the Need" food and fund drive throughout the month of September. Donations received through the drive will help feed those in need throughout our community.

Your contribution means much needed help, and hope, will be available to those in need.

Most Needed Food Items:
Canned Vegetables
Canned Fruit
Boxed Meals (Hamburger Helper, Pasta Roni)
Canned Meats/Tuna
Peanut Butter & Jelly
Canned Soup
Hot & Cold Cereal
Most Needed Household Supplies
& Personal Care Items:

Soap
Deodorant
Shampoo
Toilet Paper
   
Financial Contributions:
For every $1 donated, Harvesters
can provide five meals!
Product donations should be boxed,
bagged or canned. To avoid breakage,
do not donate products in glass containers.
   

Events:

  • September 15 (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM) - "Feed the Need Pizza Feed" at Merriam City Hall - $5 buys you Pizza Hut pizza, pasta, breadsticks and drinks (while supplies last)
  • September 15-17 (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) - Silent Auction in the Community Room at Merriam City Hall
  • September 15-18 (8:00 AM- 4:30 PM) - Bake Sale at Merriam City Hall & Irene B. French Community Center
