Welcome to the City of Merriam's network for government information. This site will provide you with information about our community, municipal services, and the population we serve.

Merriam is located in Northeast Johnson County, Kansas, and is only eight miles south of downtown Kansas City. A central location along Interstate 35 and relatively small size make Merriam an accessible and convenient place for travelers and residents. A strong sense of community and an active business climate gives Merriam all of the advantages of being in the metropolitan area while retaining the small town feelings of friendliness and pride.
