FREE SWIM ON OPENING DAY -
Be our guest on opening day at the Merriam Aquatic Center, May 24th. All Merriam & Johnson County residents receive FREE ADMISSION! You must bring a photo drivers license for proof of residence. Hours are noon - 8:00pm.
Merriam Resident Daily Admission Fees: All ages - $5.00
Proof of Merriam residency must be shown to the Aquatic Center cashier (valid photo drivers’ license or Merriam Parks & Recreation photo ID card). All non-swimmers will be charged an admission fee.
Non-Merriam “Johnson County Resident” Daily Fee: All ages - $6.00
Proof of residency in Johnson County must be shown to the Aquatic Center cashier (valid photo drivers’ license or Merriam Parks & Recreation photo ID card).
Guest Fees/Non-Residents: All ages - $6.00
For guests of Merriam Residents or Season Pass Holders. Guest must be accompanied by resident or pass holder.
Punch Cards:
You may purchase a 10-visit punch card and save 10% off daily fees. Cards will be sold at Irene B. French Community Center and at the Merriam Aquatic Center. Please note that we accept cash only at the aquatic center.
- Merriam resident discount - $45.00 (proof of residency required)
- Non-resident - $50.00
Season Pass Fees
Season pass holders must obtain a photo ID card or renew 2008 cards prior to visiting the aquatic center. ID cards will be scanned at the cashier's desk prior to admission. All "new" season passes include the cost of photo ID cards. If your ID becomes damaged or lost, there is a $5.00 replacement charge.
ID cards will be scanned for admission to the aquatic center. You must have your Merriam Parks & Recreation photo ID to enter the facility, the copy of your receipt will not be accepted as your pool pass.

*Limit of six members per non-resident household may be included on season pass. If your household has more than six members, you may purchase additional single passes at a discounted rate of $20 per peron, or pay the daily guest fee.

NEW THIS YEAR: Want some variety in your summer swim experience? Take
advantage of the NE Super Pass add-on option and be able to
visit the outdoor pools provided by our other Northeast
Johnson County cities of Prairie Village, Mission, Fairway and
Roeland Park. A special sticker will be affixed to your Merriam
Aquatic Center ID card which will allow you to visit the other
pools as often as you like at no extra charge.
Birthday Party Group Rates:
Have your child’s birthday party at the Merriam Aquatic Center. Schedule your party during our normal operating hours at least one week in advance, by contacting the Aquatic Center Manager at (913) 322-5517 after June 1.
Groups of 15 or more receive a $1 discount per resident/non-resident category. Party host must be an aquatic center season pass holder, or Merriam or Johnson County resident.
Your party includes a reserved space in the south concessions area, arrangements may be made for hot dogs and drinks at an additional fee. You may bring in your own birthday cake!
NEW - Private Party Aquatic Center Rentals
Enjoy a pool-side private party, family reunion, or office party at the Merriam Aquatic Center!
The aquatic center is available for rental in the evenings from 8:15-9:45pm or on Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:30am.. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning April 7th. The facility will be available for rental from June 1 - August 15 with the exception of previously scheduled swim meet and special event dates.
The following applies to all aquatic center facility rentals:
- Maximum number of people in attendance is 75.
- Rental fee includes the cost of lifequards, slide attendants and manager on duty. Payment of fee must be made at
time of application.
- Food and drink (no alcohol) may be brought in, the concession stand will not be open for private rentals.
- All regular facility rules are in effect.
- Children and youth groups must provide one adult to every eight youth or children.
- Reservations must be made a minimum of two weeks in advance. Rental payment is due upon reservation.
- Rental fees are non-refundable. Rentals may be re-scheduled if cancelled prior to start time (subject to facility availability).
