Located in a renovated, historic school building, the Irene B. French Community Center is a 33,000 square foot facility and the home of the majority of the Merriam Parks and Recreation programs.
Hours of operation:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 9:00pm,
Friday 8:00am-5:00pm,
Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm,
Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

The facility also provides space for the Johnson County Nutrition Program Congregate meal Site (Sr. Citizen hot lunch program).
Facility rooms are for rental to host your reception, party, meeting or seminar. Rental rates vary, depending upon the size of the room, and are available for Merriam residents, non-residents and commercial groups.
