| Bus Trip with Dr. James Naismith to Lawrence, KS |
| This trip to Lawrence will be conducted and hosted by Bill Nicks as Dr. James Naismith, the inventor of basketball. See Naismith's memorial, where he lived and where KU played its first game. Learn how afterdropping out of high school he became a medical doctor and ordained minster. Stops include: Allen Fieldhouse and its Jayhawk Hall of Fame and Historical artifacts, the Dole Institute with lunch and shopping on Massachusetts Street. You will also learn more about Quantrill. Mr. Nicks has been performing first person re-enactments and hosting tours since 1996. Min. 30 - Max. 51. |
