Merriam Community Center Indoor Pool to Close as a Result of the Order
Due to the increase of coronavirus cases in the Kansas City region, Johnson County health officials on Friday issued a public health order to help control the spread of COVID-19. The order starts Monday, Nov. 16, and goes through Jan. 31, 2021.
The Indoor Pool at the Merriam Community Center features four 25-yard lap lanes, two slides, a lazy river, splash and play features, zero-depth entry, and a warm water therapy pool. Water features will only be turned on during Open Swim times. Two lifeguards are on duty from 5 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday–Thursday. Five lifeguards are on duty at all other times. If you have any questions or concerns, please talk with an employee.
Help keep the pool clean by showering before you enter.
Proper swimsuit attire is required.
Swimsuits with metal or plastic zippers, buckles, rivets, buttons, or metal/plastic ornamentation are not permitted on any slide.
Lap Swimming & Water Walking
