The City of Merriam welcomes two new officers to our Police Department: Officer Nick Moeller and Officer Kaleb Bryant.
Office Moeller is originally from Davenport, Iowa and has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Simpson College.
“I’ve always wanted to be a police officer since I was a little kid,” Officer Moeller shared. “I’ve always enjoyed helping people and this is the best opportunity for me to do so on a large scale. I’m excited to get to know the people of Merriam and build positive relationships throughout the community.”
Officer Bryant comes to the City of Merriam from the City of Overland Park, where he also grew up. He served in the US Army for eight years, including tours to Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay, and is currently attending Johnson County Community College where he is pursuing a Criminal Justice degree.
“I’ve always felt the calling to serve the public and being a police officer gives me the opportunity to do that,” Officer Bryant said. “Every day is different and I really enjoy working in this environment.”
Join us in welcoming these new officers to our community.
