Gymnasium

The gymnasium is utilized for a variety of programs including rentals. Refer to the Gymnasium Calendar for program schedule.  Calendar subject to change based on facility needs. 

Rules

• Dunking or hanging on rims is not allowed.
• Only scuff resistant shoes are allowed; no street shoes.
• Spitting, fighting and horseplay will not be tolerated.
• Glass containers and food are prohibited.
• Youth under the age of 9 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Proper attire is required when leaving the area.
• Music must be played through a personal music system.

Group Exercise Room

The Group Exercise Room is available to members when not reserved for a fitness class or program.  Refer to the Group Exercise Calendar for room availability.  Calendar subject to change based on facility needs. 

Rules

• Clean equipment after use.
• Return all equipment to its designated location when finished.
• Fitness attire is required. No wet bathing suits or bare feet allowed.
• Filming or taking pictures of others without permission is prohibitied.
• Report damage or broken pieces of equipment to Merriam Community Center staff immediately.
• Members between the ages of 12 and 15 must complete a Youth Fitness Equipment Orientation to utlize the equipment.
