The award winning Merriam Farmers' Market is accepting vendor applications for the upcoming season.  

Located in the downtown Merriam historic district, Merriam Marketplace is one of the most beautiful, covered facilities in the metropolitan area. 

  • 36 covered vendor spaces with access to electricity
  • Convenient access from 1-35 and Johnson and Merriam Drive 
  • Restroom facilities

  • A market supervisor on duty each Saturday

Fees

Fees include occupational license; the receipt is the license for the dates indicated. All space sales are final. There are no refunds. The City of Merriam reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications at its discretion.

Season Vendors: $370 / stall

Daily Vendors: $25 / day / stall

Daily Concessions Vendor: $18 / day / stall

New Vendors

Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. All applications will be dated and timed, then placed on hold until  the deadline for returning vendors from previous season. Staff will begin reviewing new applications on third Monday in February and notification of acceptance will be made by the fourth Monday in February. Deposit checks will be processed that same day. If a new vendor is accepted, the final balance must be paid by the second Friday in March.

 

Daily Vendor

Vendors are encouraged to arrive at the market Saturday morning by 6:30 a.m. in the event a season vendor does not show.

Daily Vendors are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis

Concession Vendor

  • Turkey Creek Car & Motorcycle Show is the second Saturday in September.  This is a free day for full season vendors. Those still interested in selling that day will be relocated to the parking lot of the old Irene B. French Community Center.
  • ServSafe program- Vendors that want to give out samples will be required to be certified to serve samples in 2021. This requires all vendors, that want to give out samples, to complete a Serve Safe Starters Employee Online Course. Vendors may incur a small fee to take the course. (The manager’s course is NOT required.)
  • The sale of eggs and frozen meat is permitted at the Marketplace.
  • The sale of food related items, i.e. recipes; dried pasta, prepackaged food items like popcorn, etc. will be permitted.
  • The maximum of four baked goods and four jewelry vendors at any time will be enforced throughout the year.
  • Incentive program for new produce vendors is continuing. Any full season vendor who brings in a produce vendor that participates 80% of weekends during June-August will receive a $100 discount to be applied the following year.
