Adopt-A-Park

Waterfall Park waterfall in Turkey Creek

The City of Merriam's Adopt-A-Park Sponsorship Program was developed to be a catalyst in which the community can show its pride and support for its many wonderful parks and park facilities. The goal is to have each park adopted, ensuring a parental sense of ownership and responsibility for all our parks and park facilities.

The program ensures community support and helps maintain the beauty of Merriam as a top priority.

Adopting a park helps ensure the longevity of Merriam's parks and park facilities for the next generations!

Benefits of Park Adoption

  1. Adopt-A-Park sign located with the park with organization/business name and year of adoption.
  2. Publicize the adopting organization/business in "Highlights", Merriam's quarterly brochure, and listed on website.
  3. Input on development, improvement projects and new development associated with park / park facility.

The City of Merriam is responsible for providing support for special projects such as garbage bags and safety vests for litter pick-up days.
