Head Lifeguard

The City of Merriam Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Head Lifeguard to perform the below responsibilities:

• Assists in the supervision of lifeguard staff;
• Administers first aid;
• Enforces facility rules and policies;
• Responds to patrons’ concerns;
• Ensures safety of patrons by responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

Current certifications through American Red Cross to include: Lifeguard; Waterpark Lifeguarding; and CPR for Professional Rescuer. Minimum of two years of experience as lifeguard and at least 18 years of age.

Special Requirements

All employees must be available for mandatory training. Date to be determined by supervisor.
