As we celebrate the end of 2022, do so responsibly. Merriam police officers are stepping up DUI enforcement for the New Year's.
Officers will work overtime as part of a statewide enforcement campaign, “Taking Down DUI,” during New Year’s week. They'll arrest anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol and will ticket unbuckled drivers.
The Kansas Department of Transportation sponsors the program, which runs from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.
