55th St. Improvement Public Meeting

You’re invited to attend an open house style public meeting to discussstreet improvements on 55th St. from Merriam Drive to Switzer Road.

Improvements Include:

» Replacing existing sidewalks and installing a new sidewalk on the southside of 55th St.

» Replacing ADA sidewalk ramps as needed.

» Replacing driveway approaches to comply with the American with Disabilities Act.

» Milling and overlaying asphalt pavement with new pavement makings, including bike lanes. 

» Removing and replacing curbs and gutters.

» Installing street lights.

» Repairing or placing storm drainage as needed.

The City has contracted engineering services with BHC Rhodes to design this project. At this public meeting, City staff and BHC Rhodes design professionals will provide a project overview.
