Did you know Antioch Library in Merriam was the first library in Johnson County? Now, it's one of many branches in the Johnson County Library District, serving the county and metropolitan area. The Antioch Library branch will soon move next to the Merriam Community Center at 6040 Slater St. 

Services at Antioch Library include:

  • Checking out a book, audiobook, movie, and more.
  • Photocopy 
  • Looking at current magazines and newspapers
  • Studying and meeting space 

There's also a children's section with toys and organized learning programs, exhibits, classes, and free film and music programs.

All materials not available at the Antioch Library can be delivered to the site within two days, provided they are available at another library branch.

Merriam residents can get a free library card. The card is valid at all Johnson County Library branches as well as the Olathe Public Library, the Johnson County Community College Library, and the Kansas City, Missouri, Library.
