The City hired a consultant to put together a Public Art Master Plan. The plan will define the role of public art in Merriam, and help the Public Art Committee decide what types of art the community wants in Merriam, and where. The plan will also have recommendations for funding, procuring, and managing public art.
Public input is an important piece to this plan. In October, you may have answered survey questions to share your thoughts about current and future projects in the City. The survey results, along with interviews and research, will lay the foundation of the recommendations in the Public Art Master Plan. Some of the most important pieces of the plan will be featured at the open house.
The plan is scheduled to be finalized in early 2024.
