The City of Merriam is working on a plan that will shape the future of downtown, and residents are invited to help build that vision.

After weeks of community pop-ups and surveys, the next opportunity to share your thoughts is Thursday, June 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Merriam Community Center.

The Downtown Master Plan will guide how Downtown Merriam grows and changes for years to come. Decisions made through this process will affect everything from what businesses come to the area, to how streets feel, to what kind of place downtown becomes for future generations.

At the open house, residents can visit hands-on stations and talk directly with the planning team. Here's what you'll get to do:

  • See what residents and business owners have shared so far— find out what the community has already said and where there's common ground
  • Pick what matters most for the future of Downtown— weigh in on priorities and help the planning team understand what the community values most
  • Choose where to start— because not everything can happen at once, help identify what should come first

Stop by for 10 minutes or stay for the full two hours, and all ages are welcome.

The more voices heard, the stronger the plan. Whether you live, work, shop, or spend time downtown, your perspective matters.
