Merriam Drive Live returns this Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing six hours of classic rock, food, drinks, and family activities to Merriam Marketplace. The free outdoor concert runs from 2 to 8 p.m. and is free — no tickets required.
This annual event features two stages of live music, yard games, a photobooth, food trucks, and plenty of activities for kids. Four bands will perform throughout the afternoon and evening:
• 2 p.m. — Surfin' Safari • 3:30 p.m. — The Original Silver Bullet • 5 p.m. — The Punching Pandas • 6:30 p.m. — The Suburbans
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and relax under the Marketplace’s shaded pavilion. Local food vendors will be on-site, including Cooterbrand BBQ, Ravioli Pasta2GO, KC Popcorn Co., and Sugar Crush Dirty Soda. Adults can also purchase two event-exclusive beverages: the Triple M Blue Margarita (Merriam Merriment Margarita) and the Just Right Cherry Vodka Lemonade.
Families won’t want to miss the face painting and balloon artist available all afternoon, making this a perfect outing for every age.
