New Plastic Benches Installed Along the Trail

A brown plastic bench is perched on concrete along the Turkey Creek Streamway Trail.

Thanks to our community, the City has two new benches along the Turkey Creek Streamway Trail!

Last year, residents and two elementary schools helped the City of Merriam collect 1,000 pounds of plastic bags. The bags were recycled and used to create two plastic benches.

Public Works staff recently installed those benches on the Turkey Creek Streamway Trail between 69th and 75th streets.

You can enjoy resting on them during your next stroll.
