Starting Monday, April 14, the Kansas Department of Transportation is beginning a seven-month construction project on northbound I-35, from just north of 95th St. to I-635.
Construction crews are repaving the highway, patching concrete, and repairing barrier walls.
The project includes entrance and exit ramps at 67th St., Shawnee Mission Parkway, Johnson Drive, and Antioch Road in Merriam.
It shouldn't affect your rush hour commute as work is only allowed overnight. Construction hours are:
Watch for traffic pattern changes throughout the project. One lane will always be open to traffic.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-November, weather permitting.
