The Annual High School Visual Arts Competition is one of the largest high school art competitions in the Kansas City metro region allowing student artists to showcase their work in watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylics, drawing, 3D, photography, and computer-generated art. Prizes are awarded to the top three pieces in each category.
All high school students currently attending high school or home schooled in the Kansas City area are eligible to enter the competition.
Instructors should coordinate submission of student's art work.
Each artist may submit three pieces of art work for consideration.

The commitee will be comprised of an anonymous panel of four professional artists representing each medium in the show. Notification of acceptance will be posted on the website. All instructors will be notified via email on the accepted works for the show and acceptance letters will be sent to all student's home addresses. The judges consider color/values, technique, form and presentation as part of the criteria in judging the works.
Following will be awarded in each of the four categories
October 24, 2022 is the submission deadline
November 4, 2022 students will be notified of acceptance
December 1, 2022 Reception from 7 - 8:30 p.m.; Awards Ceremony at 8 p.m.
