What's your favorite local spot in the city?
My favorite spot in the entire city is Werner Park and the bridge leading to the Farmers market. It's a beautiful spot and I love the merging of nature and architecture. For the same reason, the Merriam Plaza Library is my second favorite place, with the incorporating of a native prairie roof top.
What are your top priorities or focus areas for the city?
My top area of focus is the Turkey Creek project and the downtown area. If possible, I want to maintain the charming atmosphere of Turkey Creek while also getting downtown out of the flood plain.
What’s one accomplishment you’re most proud of during your time on the council?
I'm proud that we have been able to manage city finances in a way that we have been able to uphold the quality of services provided, as well as save the residents money.
What do you love most about living here?
I love that Merriam has a small-town feel while having the accessibility and variety of the entire metro.
What’s a fun fact people might not know about you?
I moved to Merriam to be close to my twin sister and her family.
What’s your vision for the next 5-10 years?
My vision is to maintain or improving the quality of living for our residents by maintaining excellent public serves, improving community gathering places, and finding ways for residents to save money.
