BNSF closed the railroad crossing on Johnson Drive at Kessler for critical repairs. The crossing is closed to all traffic through at least midnight tonight. Please plan alternate routes and allow for extra travel time.
The City of Merriam is partnering with K-State to inspire residents to enjoy the benefits of composting. Compost enriches soil, helps to retain moisture, and reduces the need for chemical fertilizers.
In this workshop, hosted by a Master Gardener, you will learn how leaves, grass and shrubbery trimmings can be turned into a valuable resource for your garden.
Important: Note that while an application does not have to be submitted to attend the workshop, it MUST be submitted to the community development department BEFORE installing a compost bin.
Compost bin workshops will be held exclusively on Zoom. No pre-registration is required, but attendance will be recorded. Participants must stay for the entire session.Join using the Zoom link below:For Sept. 17: https://ksu.zoom.us/j/93631451426?pwd=ThubyX632fSyQxwhmhMzCeyuSSWHNp.1
