All businesses and residents need to register their new or existing alarm systems within the City. Our police and fire departments will use this information to know where things are on your property.
There's no fee to register your alarm system.
This ordinance passed in 1994 to help with the high number of false alarms for police or fire response. False alarms usually happen due to computer, installation, or human error.
There are no fines for the first two false alarms per calendar year. Fines apply to additional false alarms during the same calendar year:
