The City of Merriam wants interested Ward 4 residents to apply for a seat on the Merriam City Council.
Ward 4 residents can file to fill the vacancy starting today. Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 9.
To apply:
The City Councilmembers will interview all candidates at the Oct. 28 City Council meeting and then vote for the new Councilmember at this meeting.
City Councilmember David Neal resigned from his Ward 4 seat. The selected candidate will serve his remaining term through the end of 2025.
Our City Council has two members from each of the four wards elected to represent their district.
City Councilmembers serve four-year, staggered terms. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month, beginning at 7 p.m.
