Step 2.Review Shelter Reservation Requirements:

Prior to submitting your application, pleasue ensure you have reviewed the reservation requirements:

1. All fees are due at the time of shelter application.
2. Reservations must be made by persons at least 21 years of age. 
3. Permits may not be transferred. 
4. The permit holder must be present during the rental activity and agrees to be responsible for compliance with all rules and regulations.
5. The permit holder shall be responsible for any damages to the shelter or city property. 
6. The permit holder and rental group shall comply with all applicable city, county, state and federal laws and any specific park regulations.

Step 3.Submit Shelter Application:

1. Shelters may be reserved after January 2 of the given year on a first-come, first-served, space available basis.
2. Reservations must be made at least 5 (five) days in advance.

Step 4.Wait for communication

1. Please allow one (1) business day for Merriam Parks and Recreation staff to confirm receipt of your application.
2. Upon receipt of application staff will confirm shelter availability and call to collect credit card payment. 
3. After payment is successfully processed, staff will email you a paid receipt with rental details which serves as confirmation that the event is reserved.
